Where Is The Progress Towards a Tinnitus Cure?

The sad news, before we get too into the content for today’s post, is that there is still no tinnitus cure.  Even worse, is that it doesn’t seem that there is going to be a recognized cure any time soon.  Of course, we are commenting from a official, medical establishment point of view.  There is always the Tinnitus Miracle e-book that we have recommended people take a look at.  Plenty are getting a lot of tinnitus relief from those methods, and some even get a near tinnitus cure.

With that out of the way, let’s get into the real content that can hopefully open up a few ideas.  Remember, we are not offering a tinnitus cure, we aren’t medical professionals, and we are certainly not going to recommend that you replace your doctor’s advice with anything you find here.  If anything, ask your doctor about the information you find here.

First off, there are a lot of different techniques that some claim can function as a tinnitus cure.  The only problem is that there is nothing definitive, and a lot of them are invasive.  Some of these methods include shielding the cochlea, surgery with a gamma knife, or a neurostimulator.  It is possible that one or all of these may function as an effective tinnitus cure.

Others will still refer you to methods like meditation, hypnotherapy for tinnitus relief, or even just sticking with good old white noise.  You can even check out a white noise machine if you don’t want to run your fan now that the winter months are here.  Still, quite a few show favor towards Tinnitus Miracle.

These methods won’t work for everyone though, so what are the other methods that you can use to try and obtain enough relief to the point that you think you may have found a tinnitus cure?

We’ve blogged a little about it before, but tinnitus retraining therapy is showing tremendous promise for a lot of people.  There is a lot that people don’t care for with it, but it does show promise and a lot of people are willing to do more research on this.  We’re not going to give out too much information, but it is something that may warrant doing a bit more research on.

Keep an eye out in the future to see if we can bring you a great post and bit of information on tinnitus retraining therapy, since it does seem quite interesting and worth more than the content we have dedicated to it so far.

Finally, if you have found any information regarding a tinnitus cure, please let us know in the comments.  The eventual goal of this site is to make you aware of products that we have found that may be helpful, but to be a bit of a news site.  In doing so, we believe that everyone will win.  Until then, we will simply point you in the direction of Tinnitus Miracle, while providing a good site (we hope) for you to come back to for worthwhile information.

Who knows, maybe someday, before this blog is over with, there will be a real tinnitus cure.

I am 47 years old. I was born with hydrocephalus, and as a result, although I have volume in my right ear, there is no speech detrmination, so I have always depended on my left ear for hearing/understanding speech. Unfortunately, my tinnitus began when I was 19, in my left ear, and has become more profound over time. It is the “constant tone” type of tinnitus. Wearing hearing aids in both ears makes sounds more distorted than clear. It is very frustrating when trying to deal with people, as I can’t explain this situation to everyone, so they don’t understand what I’m oin through. Although some ENT specialists have suggested a cochlear implant, they say it would not eliminate the tinnitus, so it would be pointless to do that. I do hope there will be some kind of cure found in the near future.

      Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve had to deal with tinnitus for going on 28 years now. That’s a tough road. If you do find anything that’s been helpful, would you mind letting us know? Our readership seems to be growing a bit as we (hopefully) are improving the value of the site and I’m sure they’d love to hear what’s worked and hasn’t worked for you.
